Welcome to Quarteirense Walking Football Club (QWFC), a team based in Quarteira, Central Algarve, in the south of Portugal. QWFC was formerly known as Browns Walking Football Club (BWFC) but it was decided to leave Browns and set up as an affiliated club with CDR Quarteirense. We have two training sessions per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, 9.15 – 11.15am. Visitors are welcome to come and join our sessions, as are friends and family guests. While football is a competitive sport, we aim to keep the competitive aspect in check, to make it safer for all our members. Our Code of Conduct for playing at QWFC sets out our sanctions to ensure we stick to the rules.
We enter a number of Walking Football tournaments each year in the Algarve. The tournaments have different age categories, 50+, 60+ & 65+ and also different formats (5, 6 & 7 aside). There are also a number of other minor tournaments we play in, further afield and throughout the year.
